When our lives are disrupted by change, trauma or high stress, and we feel forced out of our comfort zones, it can feel frightening, like we’ve lost control and our sense of purpose. For some, it may bring the feeling of disconnection to who we are at our core to who we’d like to become. We might even feel a loss of connection to our body and sense of community. The struggle and path to healing can feel like a lonely journey, and it also doesn’t have to be. My approach is to co-create a space with each individual that feels safe and welcoming to come as they are to discover new ways of living with more ease and reconnect to joy.
In my practice, I enjoy combining my passions for somatic-based practices like yoga asana, pilates movement, as well as mixed media art and music with evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, EMDR and play therapy. The act of physically moving the body can oftentimes prepare the mind to move through any stuck areas of one’s life.
I believe that everyone has unique strengths and gifts that allow themselves to heal. My hope is to support you in bringing to light what those are so that you can move forward with a sense of freedom in both body and mind.
