Hey guys! I aim to put myself out of a job with each client. I am a counselor who considers the development of a strong therapeutic relationship to be the centerpiece of my treatment. I provide both short-term and long-term counseling to a diverse group of clients. My priority is to help clients experience relief from their most distressing symptoms and then to address the roots of those symptoms so that healing is long-lasting. It's a great first step to start therapy and I'm here to make it an easy, stress-free process.
I have worked with families, children and adults primarily. I am a certified trauma therapist, as well as trained in DBT (good for suicidal behaviors/thoughts, borderline traits, and emotional regulation) and CBT (the "gold standard"). A lot of my background is parent-child relationship or overcoming past traumas.
I understand that coming to therapy can be uncomfortable for some and that's valid. I will push you, when I know that you are ready. I'm not a "yes man" but I do approach each situation with empathy and understanding, without judgement. I hope that you decide to take the next step in your journey to wholeness.
