I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. I have a deep respect for my clients' individual experiences, and I provide a safe, non-judgemental environment for individuals to develop insight and grow. I know how difficult the first step is, and value your trust in me.
My areas of specialization include: substance abuse/addiction and recovery, the impact of addiction on families, dual diagnosis issues in adolescents and adults; I have a strong background in family systems/family therapy, and enjoy helping parents navigate through difficult issues. I am a certified EMDR therapist, and work with trauma. I welcome LGBT community.
I am a recovering addict/alcoholic, and active in the recovery community. I am also a parent. I believe my experiences have helped to shape me as a therapist, and allow me to appreciate a diverse range of issues, cultures, and individuals.
