I utilize techniques that empower and cultivate hope. Much of my experience is working with trauma and addictive patterns of behavior, substance abuse and eating disorders, as well as anxiety and depression. I utilize motivational interviewing techniques in conjunction with CBT to uncover and change unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior. It is often the lies we believe about ourselves and situations that keep us stuck and prevent progress.
I work alongside my clients as an active participant providing feedback and education, while helping clients move from shame to self compassion. My clients gain skills to help regulate the nervous system to better manage triggers and learn step by step strategies to improve communication and intimacy in relationships.
