Is therapy worth it? Although my own therapeutic journey began with skepticism and trepidation, I’ve experienced both vulnerability and life altering benefits from sitting in the client’s chair. Prospective clients can expect me to stay with them through hardship and help them uncover their capacity to heal themselves. I believe therapy requires both safety and bravery. It takes bravery to come to a therapy session. I honor my clients’ bravery by holding a safe, empathetic space for them to explore challenges.
When working with adults, this work often incorporates anxiety, depression, trauma, family/relationships, life transitions, and more. In addition to working with adults, I also work with adolescents and children ages 5+. In my previous profession, I worked as a teacher for 10 years; I have deep knowledge and experience in child development.
When working with children and teens, I incorporate play and art. With all clients, I use a person-centered, trauma informed approach.
