I specialize in helping children, families, and teens who are dealing with anxiety, OCD, behavioral issues, Selective Mutism, Body Focused Repetitive Disorders, adjustment to life transitions, grief, body image issues, and self-esteem challenges. I am currently working toward becoming a registered play therapist, emphasizing the importance of play in a child's development. I love working with children and teens, and I offer a Christian faith-based approach to clients who want to incorporate that framework into counseling.
I use evidence-based treatments for a variety of presenting concerns including PCIT, PCIT-SM, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, TF-CBT, Habit Reversal Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and more. I am also a trained facilitator for The Body Project body image group curriculum for teens with body image concerns.
I am committed to supporting families, teens, and children as they navigate life changes with a focus on the different stages of development, and my work is characterized by a belief that every client is valuable, loved, and unique. I love connecting with my clients and believe strongly in healing through the therapeutic relationship.
