I work alongside my clients, as they bravely take the risks involved in introspection. I believe in meeting each client where they are and moving at a pace that each person feels comfortable with. I want to guide you as you explore and overcome the obstacles disrupting your functioning or behavior; I want to support you as you explore feelings of stress, trauma, sadness, confusion, worry, anger, pressure… I don’t see clients as diagnoses: I see them as complex people experiencing emotional crises who will show me how to give them the help they need to get past symptoms that are no longer useful to them.
Though I treat all mood disorders, including the many faces of anxiety, I have had specialized training treating patients struggling with eating disorders, young adults transitioning their gender, OCD and in helping patients work on stress-reduction, insomnia, focus on self-care, and re-design lifestyles to prevent or improve chronic illness.
I truly understand how hard it is to rework your life and create one where you can thrive. I am here to help you chip away at the burdens holding you back, find a vision for a future life, free of fear and shame, and work along side you to reach that place. What feels impossible is possible! And, we will take baby steps at a manageable pace to get there.
