Relationships are where most of us find meaning in our lives, but connecting with other flawed humans can be a struggle! Especially for those of us dealing with relational trauma, neurodivergence, marginalization, or grief. I love to work with people trying show up differently in their relationships. Perhaps you want to be more expressive, have better boundaries, or change patterns that aren't serving you anymore. Our first step is getting to know how emotions show up in your body and mind. The better you know your responses and your values, the better you can communicate with important others.
I use Internal Family Systems, an evidence-supported trauma therapy, to hear from different "parts" of you who may be in conflict with one another. I use a feminist relational psychodynamic lens to get curious about how you navigate relationships. Our sessions toggle between deep introspection and practical ideas about experiments to try in your life.
My approach is warm, validating and playful. All aspects of your worldview and identity are welcome. I love to connect over art and pop culture, and I want to hear ALL about your special interests. Areas of specialty include LGBTQ issues, young adulthood, relational conflicts, ADHD and OCD, grief and loss, trauma recovery and meaning-making in apocalypse.
