I work with adults who feel as though worries and fears interfere with daily life. These issues might manifest as social anxiety, panic attacks, fears of specific objects or situations, general feelings of being "on edge," insomnia, or symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (intrusive, upsetting thoughts/feeling driven to "do something" in response).
I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (with exposure and response prevention for OCD), but I collaborate with each client to create an individualized treatment plan that may incorporate other strategies.
My approach is to listen first and foremost, then work closely with clients to identify strengths, learn new strategies, and arrive at practical solutions. I try to bring a sense of positivity and empathy to each session, balanced with professionalism and an openness to new experiences.
