The pace and complexity of life these days is making it harder and harder to connect to how we are really feeling, and to understand why we are feeling that way. It feels like, too often, we are urged to ignore or push away key parts of ourselves in order to be or do what seems to be required of us. In response to this, the therapy I provide is an opportunity to slow down, to get clear about what we each need in order to feel okay (or to even just remember the ways that we actually already are okay, in the midst of it all), and to move into steadier and healthier versions of ourselves.
I start from wherever and whoever you are, and build a style of working together that makes room for as many parts of you as possible. Aside from a diverse clinical tool belt, I use the tool of being truly with you: I will be right there listening, collaborating, guiding, nudging, and offering ideas and reflections for your process.
I approach therapy by listening and learning, in order to understand how you are experiencing yourself and your life. I offer collaboration in your process of connecting to your strengths, using your creativity and existing resources to heal and grow, while addressing any worries, goals, curiosities, habits, or feelings of stuckness you may have.
