My name is Jeralyn Gabler and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with over 20 years of experience working with children, youth, families, and young adults. I specialize in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat depression and anxiety. I have experience helping people with educational needs and providing parenting support to help caregivers manage the special needs of their children. I specialize in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which includes a collaborative approach to understanding a person, developing a trusting relationship, and determining which problem areas to address in therapy.
I help people develop coping strategies to manage their feelings and implement more positive ways of thinking in order to improve their emotional experience. I implement strategies from other theoretical approaches, such as Motivational Interviewing, Object Relations, and Person-Centered Therapy.
I like to create a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space in therapy. My communication style is to provide reflective listening to fully understand a person's experience, and this often includes asking clarifying questions.
