Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience working with children, teens and adults. I graduated from Loyola University of Chicago. Since Teletherapy does not lend itself to effective therapy with young children, I tend to work with parents on how best to help their troubled children. With adults, I assist clients in reaching the goals they want to achieve in order to feel more content in their daily lives. I have earned certification in Addiction Counseling. My primary experience in addictions has been with alcoholism in teens and adults.
In the first session I will primarily be getting to know my client and helping them to begin to form a trusting relationship. Starting therapy can be an anxiety provoking time; it takes bravery and hope.
I believe my greatest strength is helping clients feel comfortable opening up in sessions. I ensure clients that they can share difficult experiences and feelings at their own pace.
