My passion is helping people improve their relationships, manage anxiety, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. Longstanding, unconscious patterns can show up in many areas of our lives. By being curious without judgement, we can work together to identify what these patterns are and how they do or don't serve you. This process can create more space in your life for freedom and choice to live as you desire. I hope to engage you in an exploratory process to get to the root of what has been troubling you. I work with individuals, couples, and dyads such as mothers and daughters.
My approach is warm, eclectic, and primarily insight-oriented/psychodynamic. With individuals, I also draw from mindfulness-based techniques (including ACT and DBT), CBT, and motivational interviewing. With couples, I primarily work from an EFT perspective, and incorporate elements of Gottman and other couples therapy modalities.
Research has shown that good therapy is most of all about a good fit between you and your therapist. I believe you can best gauge our fit by meeting with me, and so I offer a free 15-minute consultation for you to get a feel for how I work, and to bring forth your questions and concerns.
