My name is Jennifer Spencer, MSW, LICSW, LCSW and I’m licensed in both Washington and Colorado. I offer fifteen years of professional experience in the helping profession. The modalities I prefer are client-centered, strengths-based, psychoanalytic, talk therapy, attachment-based, and mindfulness skills. My experience is working primarily with adults. My focus populations include women issues, queer issues, seniors with health conditions, veterans, PTSD, men’s issues, domestic violence in hetero and same-sex relationships, trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar, suicidal ideation, personality disorders, codependency, and narcissism.
I believe healthy coping skills are the path to self-love. I hope to be a part of your journey to a more fulfilling emotional life. Goal setting is about understanding what you want to change. Goals should be created together in the therapeutic relationship to determine how best to help you get to where you would like to see yourself.
Since childhood, I have been drawn to the emotional needs of others with a desire to help find solutions to life’s challenges. My motivation to succeed in this led me to make educational and professional career choices honoring my path. I am excited by the changes in client’s experience and knowing I can be of service to others.
