Hi, I am Jennifer! With over a decade of experience in outpatient mental heath. My approach to therapy is person-centered with curiosity about how a person's experiences have shaped them and helping individuals explore their agency and autonomy in their healing journeys. I have specialized training in complex PTSD, eating disorders, polyvagal theory for nervous system regulation, and attachment concepts. I enjoy journeying with clients in health and healing, celebrating their wins as they rediscover who they are and who they are becoming.
Besides EMDR training, I have extensive training in attachment theory and how attachment impacts sense of self and relational wellbeing. I also am trained in polyvagal theory, how your brain, body and nervous system processes events and regulates emotions and responses, and the Safe and Sound Protocol method for nervous system and anxiety regulation.
Stepping into a counseling office can feel like a huge step and bring about its own anxiety. I work to create a compassionate, calm space where you feel comfortable, safe, and listened to as we explore challenges and develop new ways of coping, thinking, and being.
