I have experience working with individuals and families dealing with issues related, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, substance use and recovery, self-harm, trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, body image, family conflict, parenting, anger and stress management, life transitions, work and career related issues, and life coaching. I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere, with a caring and warm approach to allow my clients to feel comfortable and supported.
I work from a strength-based approach utilizing the following treatment modalities: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Family Systems. I offer both individual and family therapy, and have extensive experience working with adolescents and families.
I enjoy creative expression in therapy and believe these can be powerful avenues for individuals to express themselves and acquire coping strategies that promote healing, while building upon their inherent strengths. I also incorporate mindfulness practices, including guided imagery and meditation to teach relaxation skills.
