Are you feeling anxious, depressed, or struggling to deal with life changes or trauma? If so, counseling is a fantastic option to help heal and move through these difficult experiences. I believe a positive relationship is the most important aspect for change and strive to connect with everyone I work with. I meet individuals where they are in their lives, accepting them for who they are and supporting them through the changes the would like to make. I also utilize a technique called Brainspotting to help decrease emotional reactivity and trauma symptoms.
I have significant experience working with children, teens, and young adults in addressing self-harming behavior, mood disorders, negative life patterns, relationship difficulties, adjusting to life changes, and difficulty with overwhelming emotions.
I am trained in Brainspotting, which helps decrease emotional reactivity related to trauma and also used to decrease the intensity of anxiety, depression, and other concerns. I am also trained in TF-CBT which focuses on decreasing trauma symptoms from stressful life events. I have experience in utilizing DBT skills in group and individual formats.
