Everyone faces challenges in life that are difficult to overcome without help. Counseling provides the opportunity for growth and self-discovery in the context of a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. I use a variety of counseling techniques that are determined by your needs. Together, we will assess your strengths, acknowledge challenges and discover strategies that will work for you. In so doing, we will formulate a treatment plan and continually evaluate our work as we progress. Treatment is provided within a community-based model, taking into account your culture, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, and personal values.
I have provided counseling to adults, teens, children, families, and groups in several outpatient and home-based settings. I have extensive knowledge of biological and neurophysiological processes. My primary areas of expertise include attachment- and relationship-based issues, child development, parent training, trauma/abuse, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, emotion dysregulation, and social skills training.
Unfortunately, childcare issues are causing me to reduce my business hours for Fall 2016. I am currently only able to be in the office until about 12pm every day.
