I take pride in not being a “robotic” therapist. I personally believe being asked question after question will ultimately shut down a client and possibly worsen their anxiety about therapy or in general. I am able to effectively work on all issues while creating a comfortable and laid back environment for all my clients where they do not feel pressured. However, I will appropriately challenge you if I am observing oppositional tendencies, which are hurting your treatment goals; do not be nervous about being challenged, change and improvement require being challenged and getting out of your comfort zone!
I am a New York Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor-Training. I have treated many diagnosis such as but not limited to, depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, bi polar, psychosis and borderline personality disorder. I also offer family therapy and couples counseling.
