Hello, my name is Jen and I have a deep respect for all who seek support through counseling. It is my experience that no one lives their best life alone. Connection has the capacity to offer regulation and engender strength. In our work together I hope to create an environment that feels safe. I will strive to assist you in moving toward experiencing yourself as a trustworthy source of guidance. Many of us are wounded children walking around in adult bodies. When appropriate I place importance in discovering connections between early childhood trauma and life's current unease as as a means to heal these wounds.
I draw from a variety of approaches and work through a holistic lens to explore the impact that your lifestyle, relationships, and upbringing has on your wellbeing. I am also increasingly fascinated with the use of storytelling to assist in reframing constrained and limiting stories that we hold about ourselves, stories that perpetuate stagnancy.
As a clinician, I honor my humanity that allows me to tend and befriend others, and take joy in my playfulness that can bring a smile or a laugh to someone at the right moment. I am here to help you recommit to life as you travel through issues both big and small.
