I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in NC, a National Certified Counselor, and a Qualified Professional in Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare with over ten years of experience as a direct care staff and mentor serving pre-teens, adolescents, young adults, and their families. A special focus of mine has been serving helping professionals who experience burnout, through individual counseling, peer support groups, advocacy, research, conference participation, and professional presentations. I am passionate about holistic wellness within the mental/behavioral healthcare field, as this directly impacts client care.
Through a client-centered approach and integrative theoretical frameworks, I aim to empower healing and resilience. My approach is collaborative, humanistic, and holistic, encouraging clients to engage with all aspects of self–mind, body, heart–by integrating mindfulness-based cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and experiential psychoeducation.
I am committed to honoring the dignity of all, building authentic relationship through attunement and immediacy. I derive immense joy from being outside, facilitating restorative encounters with Nature. I maintain a Wilderness First Responder certification, am a guide with Blue Ridge Hiking Company, and volunteer trail worker for the Carolina Mountain Club.
