Dr Giesel is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Chemical Dependency Counselor Clinical Supervisor. Dr Giesel is dual boarded in the treatment of pediatric and adult clients. She is certified in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing as well as a Certified Trauma Treatment Professional. Dr Giesel is trained in EMDR and Biofeedback and Palliative/ End of Life care. Additional clinical areas of concentration and training include: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Burnout in Frontline Workers, anxiety, depression, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, chronic illness and pain as well as adjustment related concerns.
She is a member of the Early Career Psychologist Committee for the State of Ohio and serves on the editorial board as a journal article reviewer for the Journal of Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology. Additionally, Dr Giesel is a member of the Adolescent and Young Adult Program Advisory Committe with Teen Cancer America.
Dr Giesel has several peer reviewed publications in her specific areas of interest. Dr Giesel is currently accepting new clients for individual psychotherapy and is co-facilitator for two of Lifestance's Intensive Outpatient Group Therapy Programs offering rolling admission.
