I believe that each of us is capable, sometimes with a little assistance, of making our own best decisions, and that each of us is responsible for our own path in life. This means that as a counselor, I work closely with my clients to decide on the best course of therapy. My work focuses on helping people free themselves from pain and the feeling of being "stuck" that keeps them from moving in a forward direction.
My focus is on EMDR therapy to help clients move past the lasting effects of traumatic or painful events. I welcome LGBTQIA+ clients and specialize in issues of coming out, internalized phobias, relationship issues, gender identity and sexual orientation.
I work through the lenses of Feminist and Person-Centered Therapies to emphasize power-sharing in the therapy room and establish a warm, positive, humor-filled environment to allow you to explore what's necessary for you to create change.
