Welcome to my practice! I take a positive, respectful, growth-oriented approach to therapy. I believe we each have intrinsic resources for healing and connection, and an innate striving for vitality, balance, wholeness, and personal maturity. Working in a variety of community-based settings, I have come to appreciate the power of human resiliency, the importance of naming and claiming our stories, and the transformative quality of suffering. I view my role as a therapist as witness to your unique story, and companion to your growth as we wrestle with the often complex questions life brings.
I love using imagery and metaphor in my practice. I find journaling, collage, visual art, movement, and contemplative practices to complement talk therapy. I support clients in bringing these practices into the everyday. I have specific training in bereavement, therapeutic use of expressive arts, prenatal/postpartum support & spiritually integrative care.
I recognize that our struggles often have a spiritual or meaning-oriented component. For some clients this may be their primary reason for seeking therapy. I welcome people of all religious & spiritual orientations. I enjoy working with other therapists & healthcare providers, clergy, artists, musicians, writers and entrepreneurs. My practice is part-time.
