I believe people are resilient and have many strengths that will help them overcome mental health obstacles. It can be very difficult to reach out for help when life may already feel overwhelming and full of struggles. Trying to find a connection with a therapist may add to those feelings. I would like to help you feel at ease in taking the first step of seeking out a therapist. One of my lifelong passions has been to help people navigate hardships and to be a supportive listener. My goal is to use that passion to create a welcoming, non-judgmental, safe place for you to work to discover the new you that you desire to be.
Beginning with the therapeutic relationship I will strive to help you reach your goals using your insight and strengths. I can offer you new perceptions, mindfulness skills, and help you find solutions. I am a trained EMDR therapist using this intervention to assist in working through the pull of past or current traumas helping you gain freedom from trauma.
I have several years experience working with others to help them overcome challenges. I have gained quality experiences that have helped me positively affect the lives of the people I interact with.
