At its roots, the word “psychotherapy” translates to “healing of the soul”. As a Deep Brain Reorienting therapist and an EMDR certified trauma therapist, I embody this to treat PTSD, CPTSD and am privileged to walk alongside others on their healing journies.I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of South Carolina and in Arizona, and I am a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist. I have passion and commitment to supporting people in building capacity for resilience and growth. I have trained extensively in Somatic and Attachment-Focused EMDR (certified from EMDRIA), DBR, and in Ericksonian Clinical Hypnosis.
My unique background allows me to draw on resources that can assist clients in becoming “unstuck” from old patterns of thinking, feeling, and doing. Traditional talk therapy can be powerful, yet there are times where it does not reach the deepest areas calling for healing. Traumatic experiences live in the body, and are released through somatic intervention.
These approaches are also used to treat addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, and chronic illnesses and pain. I enjoy working with clients while affirming their identities, abilities, views, and experiences. I have a fundamental belief in the power of the human being to transform and transmute patterns of pain into those of growth, healing, and recovery.
