I have 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I treat individuals, families, and couples. My treatment approach is a blend of DBT, CBT, and ACT. Clients describe me as sensitive, warm, and encouraging and I truly love what I do. Life can be extremely stressful and difficult to navigate at times. I pride myself in taking the time to understand the nature of someone's struggles and making sure his/her goals are addressed. I am also a trained equine assisted psychotherapist. At times, horses can be used to help uncover underlying problems and concerns as well as to teach coping skills.
I treat people experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, divorce or separation, grief, trauma, & digital dependence. Events from the past, major decisions or changes, and excessive screen time can hijack your mind and disconnect you from your life. Mindfulness and other key coping skills are taught through talk therapy or by using the horses.
My practice is located on a quiet working horse farm located close to Longwood Gardens. Clients have the option of working with me virtually, in a office, or outside while enjoying beautiful scenery or taking a relaxing walk. When appropriate, horses can play a role in treatment by adding a layer of animal connection and skill building to treatment.
