I am a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and graduated with honors earning a Doctorate in Nursing Practice through the University of Hawaii at Hilo. I specialized in Family Nursing Practice, with a focus on transcultural care for people of all ages. I hold additional mental health certifications through Evergreen Certifications: a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and Integrative Mental Health Certification. As a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher I will practice mindful moments with you and teach you how to blend it into your daily life.
In line with the concepts of Integrative Care, I practice collaboration to achieve health and wellness, working closely with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and Counselors, and Therapists. I assess labs, recommend evidence-based lifestyle adjustments, and focus on nutrition and Mindfulness Meditation, as well as medication management.
I was fortunate enough to earn my education locally through UH, and was trained by exceptional Doctors and Nurse Practitioners on Maui, Lanai, and the Big Island. Cultural competence is important to me, and something I actively invest in through education and through listening to you. It is my hope that you feel heard and cared for.
