Seeking and making changes takes courage. The evolutions that happen in the therapeutic process take place within the relationship between client and therapist. It's my role not to provide instant or easy answers, but to help you discover and understand your strengths and the things that keep you feeling hurt and stuck. We find the way through together.
I use psychodynamic and psychoanalytic perspectives to provide individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. I often incorporate sensorimotor concepts into the process, and sometimes use EMDR and hypnosis as adjunctive therapies.
I am experienced in working with survivors of complex interpersonal trauma (emotional, physical, sexual, religious, and combat/military operations-related) and understand that traumatic experiences affect each individual uniquely. Healing and growth are never easy, but they are worth the effort.
