I'm Jeffrey Tinius, a Clinical Psychologist licensed to practice in California. My belief is that therapy must be directed toward your goals of personal growth and healing. In couples and individual therapy, in addition to mental health topics like anxiety and depression, I am interested in issues relating to relationships, including marital, dating, infidelity, and compatibility issues. My approach is not to diagnose or categorize the life difficulties we have. I am more interested in meeting clients where they are and working with them to help them to reach their full potential, as they see it.
Today, I find that the major focus of psychotherapy is geared toward those clients and couples who are interested in working on themselves and developing their personal growth. I have a background in cross-cultural therapy and enjoy cultural diversity.
My communication style is calm, patient, and understanding. I communicate well with others who need to be heard and understood.
