I have a doctorate in psychology from Columbia University, as well as post-doctoral certificates in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, Group Psychotherapy, and the Supervision of the Psychoanalytic Process from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. I am the former President of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and a member of the American Psychological Association. I am a licensed psychologist in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. I help people discover reasons behind self-defeating behaviors, anxiety, problems in maintaining a positive outlook, conflicts in intimate relationships and difficulties in the workplace. I am interactive and make a real effort to understand and build trust. Together, we will aim to develop strategies for a more fulfilling life.
For those clients facing major decisions or problems in the workplace I offer leadership (executive) coaching that is informed by my psychology training and psychotherapy experience. This is more in-depth than traditional coaching. Taking brief inventories helps address problematic patterns. Crises can be resolved, and burn-out avoided.
