I have been a Clinical Social Worker for over 40 years. I bring a lot of passion to my work, and am quite active in the process. I utilize a goal oriented perspective focusing on solutions and growth, while also helping patients/clients develope their own insights and awareness. I like to give feedback to folks and feel that therapy is a process to help create change. My ideal patient is someone who is motivated to work on their problems, is flexible, has a sense of humor, and knows that the therapist does not have all the answers.
I have work with a wide range of issues. Specialties include: Drug addiction, alcoholism, family problems, marriage problems, teenage issues, depression, anxiety, death and dying, stress, burnout, PTSD, and trauma. I see law enforcement and military, kids. I sports psychology, ( have run the Boston Marathon 20 times) help people achieve peak performance.
I work in a group practice with highly skilled,talented people. We run several groups, anger management, early recovery (addiction, realtionships, etc It is a dynamic practice, in which we see highly functionally people with wide myriad of issues. I like to think of it as a user friendly, pragmatic gp.

This is a group for individuals with various substance abuse disorders. We utilize a harm reduction model, and work with both inpatient and day treatment programs.

Parents of Opiate Addicated Young Adults
This group has been created to help parents learn to take care of themselves, and to deal with their children who have opiate addictions. It is both supportive and educational with the goal of helping those participating in the group develope better ways of coping ,and how to help ,while not enabling their children. Covered by insurance, and sliding fee.
