I practice mental health counseling by prioritizing the clinical relationship between myself and my client. Counseling is hard, so it's important to me that you feel I'm on your team, that we can delve into challenging subject matter together in a way which feels safe to you.
I am attachment based in my approach, which means I focus on looking at your past and present relationships and how they've affected you. Another major component of my work is helping people overcome trauma they have experienced. Trauma is different for everyone and can be anything from harsh words spoken by a parent to the tragic death of a loved one.
I specialize in working with individuals and couples both in-person and via online teletherapy. I am also certified in EMDR, a trauma processing therapy using eye movement.
