Finding the right therapist is challenging, it's not just about how we look on paper, but also about our connection that determines the right fit. I specialize in trauma and incorporate a holistic approach on healing because it impacts us on different levels. Trauma can manifest itself in many different ways whether we see it as personality disorders, fear of intimacy/rejection/abandonment, attachment, depression, anxiety, anger, PTSD, eating disorders, etc. By healing the underlying trauma and doing the deeper work, it offers us a more permanent alternative to temporary symptom management.
I am a QMHP-A and LCSW with my Master's in Social Work from George Mason University and Post-Master's in Psychology of Emotions from Cornell University. I am also a fully-trained EMDR practitioner with IFS integration. I provide psycho-education to further the clarity and understanding of what you may be experiencing and how everything fits together.
My priority is to ensure that you feel safe in our sessions. I will challenge you to explore outside of what feels comfortable while being respectful of your limits. We will collaborate on what your goals and expectations are and I will personalize a treatment plan that works for you.
