Hello, I am Jeanie Takaki, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker! I look forward to meeting with you! I have specific training in working with clients who have experienced trauma.
I enjoy using Solution-Focused Therapy which may include Relaxation Techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy techniques. I am trained in evidence-based practice Trauma-Focused CBT which uses all of the above to assist individuals in creating a new story about themselves after a traumatic incident.
I like my clients to feel comfortable, safe, and supported with trust. I would want them to not feel afraid to say what they really think and feel. I like for humor to be a part of the session when appropriate.
