I have extensive experience working with individuals, families, and children from diverse backgrounds with a range of mental health issues, from severe and chronic mental illness, acute crisis situations, to phase of life difficulties and transitions. I also have expertise in working with gifted and twice-exceptional children and their families, providing consultation to families and collaborating with schools and other professionals.
I utilize a biopsychosocial model to understand clients from a relational or systems perspective to help them improve their relationships with others and to increase life satisfaction. I utilize a variety of clinical techniques, depending on the specific client, their needs, and current struggles.
My approach is nonjudgmental, straight forward, and collaborative. I enjoy guiding clients to access their internal strengths and resources to help them make lasting changes in their lives and relationships with themselves and those in their lives.
