Clients who are considering scheduling with me are most likely experiencing some type of life transition; whether its coping with the death of someone close to you, caregiver fatigue and burnout, parenthood, women's issues, fertility and family planning, or really any other challenge presented by living in the current times. Depression and anxiety may accompany these challenges, or may pre-date them. Either way, developing coping skills to manage them is imperative. Therapy is a collaborative experience between the client and the clinician. Your goals, are my goals.
I offer an eclectic approach to therapy. While I have been formally trained in Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, I believe in using a combination of modalities in order to best meet the needs of my clients. I engage in ongoing education to learn and improve my current skill set.
My goal as a clinician, is to assist my clients in developing effective coping skills to manage life stressors, and to allow a safe space to voice their feelings, concerns and frustrations. We will work together in order to ensure our time is purposeful and meaningful, while working towards goals of your choosing. I look forward to working with you soon!
