Hello, I appreciate you creating time to be here. I'm Jean Messeroux (he/him), a Licensed Psychotherapist and Wellness Coach. With a background as an educator and social worker, I'm passionate about supporting mental health journeys. I hold a Bachelor's in English and African-American Studies from UMass Amherst and a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. Beyond therapy, I'm a creative entrepreneur, using photography and design for healing and self-expression. Let's connect!
My therapeutic approach is holistic, collaborative, intersectional, and anti-oppressive. Some of my specialties include working with clients who are navigating depression, anxiety, identity, relationships, childhood & adolescence, racial trauma, workplace trauma, family trauma, various types of abuse, challenging life transitions, self-harm, and self-esteem.
At the core of my work is an awareness that everyone is multidimensional and multilayered. It is important that all the layers of everyone I serve are honored, and that my clients are consistently affirmed of their agency in their healing processes. As your therapist I’m just another person on your team who is here to support you in being your best self.
