Hi, my name is Jazmin Jackson, and I am an LCSW licensed in both California and Texas. I believe in using a strength-based approach to help individuals learn to cope and reach their goals. I typically work with clients who are dealing with a variety of life’s issues, traumas, and mental illnesses. I use a strength-based solution-focused approach using CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and evidence-based treatment to individualize my therapeutic approach to each client's needs.
I like to create a warm, and empathetic environment to foster trust and therapeutic alliance. Working together should feel flexible, goal-based, and supportive. I like to help people reach their goals and I am driven by being able to do the best I can for each individual on their journey.
Goal setting needs to be client-driven. I believe in setting attainable goals to build upon so that clients can see positive growth and accomplishment. First session is used for establishing the therapeutic relationship, getting to know each other, fostering trust, and finding out what the client wants and how I can help.
