My ideal client would be anyone who is willing to seek help, can be honest with themselves, open to new ideas, and motivated for change. The majority of the clients I work with struggle with Depression and Anxiety that has interfered with their relationships with others, their work or school performance, and their overall quality of life. Client's goals are to learn the strengths and skills in order to get back to, or even improve, the quality of life they had before affected by mental illness.
I have a diverse background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with working with various backgrounds, ages, diversity, and issues. My journey has taken me to work in schools, psych hospitals, jails, addictions, and outpatient clinics. I feel my wide range of experience helps prepare me for whatever challenges the client my present with.
I know that seeking treatment for mental health can be scary, confusing, and even frustrating for many people. It takes courage, strength, and insight to reach out for help, and I am impressed with every client that comes in for services.
