Thank You for your time. Over the years I have worked with people from varied walks of life including children with social and emotional difficulties, adolescents facing their own unique challenges, adults, couples and entire families. I have been fortunate to train with experts in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Object Relations, Self Psychology, Play and Sand Tray Therapy as well as, Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, I am certified in the clinical application of hypnotherapy through, and former Vice President of, the American Psychotherapy & Medical Hypnosis Association.
Complementing my work as a therapist, I am a certified personal trainer and have formal training in Culinary Arts as well as the study of sports nutrition. My experience suggests that, addressing lifestyle habits like eating, food preparation and exercise add significantly to the effectiveness of psychotherapy.
In addition to my academic background, I have a lifelong interest in and exploration of, theology, comparative religions, philosophy and mythology. I feel, these fields of study, personal reflection and experience add a textured, philosophical and cultural perspective to my work - I look forward to speaking with you.
