My practice is informed by my own life experiences as well as a nuanced understanding of the complexity of human nature. Together we will build the degree of trust and rapport necessary for you to: identify maladaptive patterns, challenge negative beliefs, gain insight into past and present events and most importantly, use this information to create permanent positive change in your relationships and the way you think and feel about yourself.
I provide therapy to individuals, couples & families drawing on a wide array of therapeutic models. Individual therapy is generally insight-oriented as that is the most effective way to facilitate lasting personal change. With couples, the focus is on improving communication, while family therapy focuses on the interrelationships within the family structure.
My previous career as an attorney & mediator, much of it in the area of Domestic Law, has proven invaluable to my therapeutic work, especially with couples & families. In addition to therapy, I provide Professional Mediation, Independent Mental Health Evaluations and Expert Evaluations on issues such as custody, visitation, parental fitness, etc.
