I am Jasmine Cupin-Davenport, a Resident in Counseling with over 3 years of experience working with children and adults in behavioral and mental health. I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and substance abuse. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. My diverse background gives me a better understanding of the impact of cultural factors on mental health, and I strive to create an individualized working therapeutic relationship with my clients.
My approach to treatment is person-centered, with the goal of promoting self-empowerment. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to address issues related to thought processes, feelings, and behaviors. I also use trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy to identify triggers, process traumatic experiences, and develop healthy coping skills.
I believe that therapy does not have a one-size-fits-all approach, as people experience life in their own unique way. Whether you are new to therapy or have worked with another professional in the past, my goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to express yourself and work through life’s challenges at your own pace.
