My name is Dr. Jared Maloff. I have experience working with members of many different ethnic backgrounds, and a vast array of presenting problems. I work with adolescents and adults and help each client to become connected with their 'true self' while addressing core issues on deep levels. I also work with couples to achieve better communication skills, increase trust and foster intimacy while helping each member of the couple to express feelings and needs. I also conduct psychological testing in both clinical and cognitive realms of both children and adults.
I work with clients within a psychodynamic framework, and focus on each client’s unresolved or unprocessed issues and conflicts that he or she may not be consciously aware of. Focusing on the unconscious aspects of each client helps he or she develop increased understanding of their thoughts and feelings.
In addition to providing individual and couple's therapy I also conduct a wide variety of psychological assessments. I have experience conducting assessments that are used in forensic settings, as well as conduct ADHD screenings, I.Q. testing, and learning disability assessments.
