When people come to therapy, they are often feeling scared, confused or lost because their life is unraveling and they have exhausted all options. During these times, we can lose our sense of self and our relationships with friends and family suffer. I am skilled at providing a safe and comfortable space to engender trust and promote healing, helping clients gain greater insight to manage life's hurdles. Calling on my 17+ years of experience, my therapeutic philosophy involves empowering clients to work through past traumas and self-defeating behaviors to lead more fulfilling lives.
Our past informs our present, so I help children and adults explore how their family dynamic and history influence current relationships and coping strategies. I use solutions-focused and evidence-based therapies to challenge clients suffering from addictions, behavioral and emotional issues to become "unstuck," push forward and achieve mind-body balance.
I earned my master's from New York University and completed post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, one of the premier family and couples training programs in the U.S. I have studied and incorporated psychodrama techniques, such as role-reversal, to help clients resolve past trauma.
