I am a Marriage and Family therapist who believes in the sanctity of a life well lived and lived well. With each new stage in life comes expectations, challenges, opportunity for learning and a variety of emotions. I can help you work through negative and self-defeating thoughts, disappointments and stubborn life questions through changing thoughts that are unhelpful and are not life-affirming to those that help you to learn, to grow, to feel happy. I work with individuals, children, families and couples to meet you where you are in your life.
My commitment is to guide others in acquiring the skills necessary to live effective, meaningful lives, to benefit both themselves and others. We often can not change our circumstances but we can learn to change our attitude and thoughts about the situation. I specialize in teaching parenting, child abuse prevention and communications skills.
I bring empathy, compassion and practical wisdom to the counseling session. I do not make assumptions about who you are as a person, what has occurred in your life or how you have dealt with it thus far. I filter life through an Holistic-Spiritual Christian perspective.
