Hello, My name is Janine Monson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over 20 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals, couples, families, and youth. I enjoy working with clients to navigate through life's many challenges and transitions in the healthiest way possible. I find that working with motivated clients who show up and are willing to put in the work are the most rewarding. I enjoy working with clients who want to get to know themselves at a deeper level and make positive changes.
I tend to use humor when it is appropriate as I find it helps my clients to relax which makes it easier to be more open in a situation that is not always comfortable. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and some components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and enjoy helping my clients see their situation from various perspectives.
I like for my clients to feel comfortable within the therapeutic setting and know that there is no judgement of their situation. I want them to feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. I am an active listener and give feedback when needed.
