At times, it can be difficult to admit to ourselves when we are in need of help. It can be even more difficult to admit this to someone else. Counseling, however, creates a safe space to share struggles, fears, feelings, experiences, and more. Counseling can provide peace of mind in good times or bad. As a counselor it is my goal to provide you with a space that is warm and welcoming, and one which you can come as you are! I provide counseling services from a non-judgmental and empathetic point of view.
I work from the person-centered, multicultural, cognitive-behavioral, and feminist perspectives. This means that I like to be aware of the ways in which each individual’s culture as well as society has impacted their life and development. I have served clients of all genders, races, ethnicities, ages, relationship types, and socioeconomic statuses.
As a counselor I possess skills needed in order to empathetically listen, process, and create research driven interventions to work on the various difficulties that clients identify within their lives. My overall goal for each of my clients is to increase the love and acceptance they have for themselves and to foster growth within their lives.
