Sometimes life can be hard. We've been taught there's something’s wrong with us if we have problems. Nothing could be further from the truth. Having difficulties is part of the human experience. People often pretend they’re okay when they’re not. They keep all their pain and suffering to themselves. They’re afraid if they tell the truth, they’ll be rejected. Therapy can open the door for you to stop pretending you’re “fine.” You can find the freedom to be you. Therapy helps you come out of isolation and get connected with someone. You can have a “loving witness to your pain.”
You’re stuck and want to change but don’t know how. You want to stop the destructive patterns standing in your way. Healing starts with building on your strengths and learning new skills to better manage your life and your emotions. Therapy can give you a new perspective on your life. A perspective that focuses on the solution and not the problem.
I’m easy-going and interactive w/clients. None of that phony “politically correct” stuff. If the people in your life don’t get you. Well, I do. I can help you feel heard and understood. I have 20 yrs experience working w/ adults and adolescents from all walks of life. My expertise is Substance Abuse, Depression, Relationships, Family Issues, Trauma and PTSD.
