I work well with individuals who want to develop awareness about who they are and are receptive to learn new ways of looking at themselves and the world. I find meaning and purpose in helping people find healing as they navigate loss, grief, chronic health conditions and more. This is a partnership where the goal is to find out what is unfolding and then develop a plan to work on developing the skills necessary to tackle different life problems.
I believe that utilizing effective interventions is important. I utilize principles from several psychological theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy and some aspects of Psychodynamic therapy. I continuously pursue continued education on important topics including trauma, anxiety disorders, grief counseling, and more.
In our first session together we will start with brief introductionsanthen dive into specific challenges you are facing. This will help me develop a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions. I know that looking for a therapist can be overwhelming.
